讲座内容简介:

Oncogenic steroid receptor coactivator 3(SRC-3), also known as amplified in breast cancer-1 (AIB1), is overexpressed in multiple cancers. SRC-3 promotes cell proliferation and tumor growth by acting as a co-activator of steroid receptors and other transcription factors. SRC-3 also promotes cancer cell invasion and tumor metastasis, but the underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. Our recent findings demonstrate SRC-3 and its N-terminal truncated form SRC-34cooperatively promote cancer cell invasion and tumor metastasis. SRC-34 functions as a signaling adaptor for EGFR and focal adhesion kinase (FAK)on the plasma membrane and mediates EGF-induced FAK activation and cancer cell migration. In the nucleus, SRC-3 coactivates PEA-3 to regulate MMP genes’ expression and promotes cancer cell invasion, which is mediated by ERK3-mediated phosphorylation of SRC-3 at S857.

2005-2010 博士后, 美国休斯顿贝勒医学院(Baylor College of Medicine)分子细胞生物学系。 导师:Dr. Bert W. O’Malley,美国科学院和医学院两院院士。主要研究方向:细胞核受体共转录因子在癌症形成及扩散过程中的分子作用机制。
