Prof. Gao received his Ph.D. from Xiamen University in 2010. Subsequently, he conducted postdoctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of Environmental and Biological Analysis at Hong Kong Baptist University (2011-2012), developing new strategies for protein quantification analysis. In 2013, he joined the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Xiamen University. Prof. Gao mainly focuses on the development of novel mass spectrometry techniques for exploring scientific issues in the fields of bioorganic phosphorus chemistry and chemical proteomics. Dr. Gao has published over 60 research papers in leading journals such as Nature Cell Biology, Angew Chem, Cell Reports Physical Science, Anal. Chem. and J. Proteome Res.

Research:

1. Stable isotope labeling phosphorus reagents for quantitative omics analysis;

2. Function and chemical evolution of phosphorus-containing biomolecules;

3. Gene transcription regulation and drug screening.
