In December 2022, Professor Hong Wanjin, a renowned international cellular biologist and professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences-Xiamen University, was awarded the Singapore President's Science and Technology Award for his outstanding contributions to biomedical research in Singapore. The President's Science and Technology Award is the highest honor in Singapore's scientific research community and is divided into three categories: the President's Science and Technology Medal, the President's Science Award, and the President's Technology Award. Winners are selected by experts from academia, research, and industry. Professor Hong Wanjin was awarded the highest level of the award, the President's Science and Technology Medal.
