October 29th, 2020, the Ministry of Education announced the identification results of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses, of which the undergraduate course Natural Medicinal Chemistry in School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Xiamen University (XMU-SPS) was included. Natural Medicinal Chemistry is one of the main courses of pharmacy specialty. The course is led by Associate Professor Yingkun Qiu in XMU-SPS, and the course team consists of four faculty members: Zhen Wu, Haifeng Chen, Ting Lin, and Wenjing Tian. This course revolves around the goal of cultivating innovation ability and comprehensive quality, and constructs a theoretical and practical teaching system. After years of construction, this course has achieved good teaching outcomes. In 2011, it was rated as a high-quality course in Fujian Province, selected as a high-quality online open course in 2019, and selected as a national first-class online and offline hybrid undergraduate course in 2020.
