境内代表参会通知
经国家教育部批准，由国际人类基因组组织（HUGO）下属的人类基因组突变协会（Human Genome Variation Society）主办，厦门大学和厦门市科技局联合承办的“第九届HUGO人类基因组突变国际研讨会”定于2007年9月23日至27日在厦门国际会展中心酒店召开。这次是该久负盛名的会议首次在亚洲国家举行。
该研讨会系HUGO两年一度的涉及人类基因变异的高端学术研讨会，其宗旨是通过国际学术交流与合作，在全球范围内促进对人类基因组突变的研究，为其在生物学、药物及农业上的应用感兴趣的人们提供研讨的平台，为研究基因变异的学者们提供交流思想的机会，研讨会还将为新经济增长及建立新的合作伙伴关系提供机遇。
在中国举办此次大会是为中国生物科学家提供与国际知名专家学者直接交流的机会，不仅有利于在中国传播国际基因组突变的先进理论和技术，也有利于向各国基因组变异研究界展示中国的基因组突变研究现状。本次研讨会旨在使更多的中国科研人员了解基因组突变研究现状和重要成果，吸引更多的青年科学家关注并参与基因组突变的研究，从而推动中国基因组突变研究的发展。
国际人类基因组突变协会主席Richard G. H. Cotton教授为本届研讨会主席，会议设大会报告和报展两种形式，同时将设公司相关展览，会议语言为英语。欢迎所有相关研究领域的学者、研究生、公司高层研发人员参加会议。
