AssociateProfessor

Experience

Dr. Jun Wu got her bachelor degree from Xiamen University in 2015. She received her Ph.D from Tsinghua University in 2021 (Supervisor: Peng Jiang). From 2021 to 2024, she began her postdoctoral research training in Tsinghua University (Cooperation Supervisor: Peng Jiang). She joined the School of Pharmaceutical Science of Xiamen University as an associate professor in 2024. She has published high-quality papers abouttumor immunity and metabolism in Nature Cell Biology, PNAS, STAR Protocols, Cell Metabolism, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology. She is also the peer reviewer of several journals, including Nature Communication, International Journal of Cancer, BBA-General Subjects, British Journal of Cancer, STAR Protocols.

Research

Dr. Jun Wu is interested in tumor immunity and tumor metabolism. Her research is primarily focused on studying the metabolic heterogeneity of tumor cells, as well as investigating the effects of metabolic remodeling in the tumor microenvironment on the function of immune cells and their molecular mechanisms. The ultimate aim of her research is to identify new metabolic targets for tumor immunotherapy. Dr. Jun Wu's research group has two main research directions: 1) Studying the regulation and mechanism of microenvironment remodeling or small molecule sensing in immune cells. 2) Investigating the metabolic crosstalk between tumor cells and immune cells induced by microenvironment remodeling.
