Research

Our lab is mainly engaged in the research of active constituents from traditional Chinese medicine and natural products as well as the secondary research and development of traditional Chinese medicine.By using a variety of drug evaluation models related to serious diseases, more than 600 natural active compounds, including more than 150 new ones, were found from Fujian and Taiwan characteristic Chinese herbal, microbial and Marine resources. Among them, three molecules have entered the pre-clinical research stage as prototype or modified derivatives. We have published more than 60 academic papers in core journals and above, of which more than 40 are included in SCI. Applied for 15 invention patents, of which 11 were authorized. We are familiar with the laws of industrial development and technical needs of enterprises. We have assisted Shineway Pharmaceutical Co., LTD., Pien Tze Huang Pharmaceutical Co., LTD., Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory Co., LTD., and other enterprises completing industrial project upgrading and product secondary development. As the executor, Prof. Chen has completed the preclinical pharmaceutical research of the National first-class Traditional Chinese medicine "GD79 Injection", the national six-class new medicine "Gualsankyu Macrostemon Granules" and "Maishuang Yinlu".
